Vedanta Resources today said that it has entered into a pact with global mining firm Anglo American to acquire its zinc business for USD 1.3 billion."Vedanta Resources and Anglo American plc announced today that they have signed a definitive share purchase agreement under which Vedanta, through one of its controlled Group companies, will acquire Anglo American Zinc for a total consideration of USD 1,338 million," a company statement saidhere today.
