Two girls, working as domestic help in a bungalow of a powerloom unit owner at Piplod in Surat, allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves on Monday. The deceased were identified as Raveena Kadam (17) and Shubhangini Katchikar (18), both residents of Raygadh district in Maharashtra. They were employed by Prabhashanker Singh nearly six months ago, the police said, adding that they were found hanging from two fans in the storeroom in the afternoon when Singh's daughter returned from tuition class.She immediately informed Prabhashanker who rushed for home from his factory and called up the Umra police. Inspector A R Chaudhary said, "We have started investigation.".
