Mumbai, May 17 (PTI) The policies pertaining to the allocation of 3G spectrum should be re-looked, Prime Minister''s Advisor on Infrastructure and Innovation, Sam Pitroda said today. "There is a need for re-look at policies pertaining to the allocation of 3G spectrum," Pitroda told reporters on the sidelines of a conference here. However, controversies surrounding the allocation of 3G spectrum are not a major issue, he said. "Of course, there are differences over the recommendations of TRAI. But, there is no need to make any issue over the controversies. These can be sorted out easily," he said. Pitroda said the manner in which the 3G auction process is going on is transparent. "We expect more than Rs 60,000 crore from the auction, which is very much transparent," he said, adding, "the number of broadband connections in India is expected to touch 100-million soon."
