Lucknow, May 17 (PTI) Prominent Sunni cleric and a member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali today escaped a bid on his life when he was shot at by two youths in Aishbagh area here. "I was coming out of the Eidgarh after offering namaz, when one of the two youths, riding a scooter, opened fire," Mahali, who is also Naib Imam of the Eidgah, told PTI. While Mahali escaped unhurt, one of the youths was caught by locals. Mahali said when his guard tried to nab the another youth, he fled from the scene.
