Deccan XI 'A' defeated CMS Falcons 4-1 in the super league match of the super division of the Peninsula Land Pune Football League organised by Pune District Football Association at Range Hills football ground on Thursday.Deccan FC dominated most of the proceedings. They started on the front foot and created a lot of chances for themselves. They won a few freekicks but failed to convert any of them. They kept the pressure on and were rewarded for it in the 23rd minute when Gaurav Chaphalkar scored the goal gave a vital lead. Falcons were stuck in their own half for the rest of the first period and found it hard to create opportunities. The half ended 1-0.Falcons had a bright start to the second half and were passing the ball well. They created some good opportunities to score but failed to do so. Finally, in the 60th minute they got their equaliser through Shanup Nair. The happiness, however, was short lived as Deccan took the lead in the next five minutes through Jayant Nimbalkar. Deccan went from strength to strength as they managed to increase their lead through Faisal Razack in the 75 th minute. Michael D'Cruz then added the icing on the cake by scoring the fourth goal three minutes later and putting the game to bed. The referee blew his final whistle soon after and the match ended 4-1.In the second match of the day Pune FC got a walkover as City Club failed to show up.DIVISION: Super Division (Super League)Match No 1: Deccan XI F.C.
