News posted by www.newsinfoline.com

Srinagar, Jun 18 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) today commenced its fill-the-jail campaign against the alleged unabated human rights violations in Kashmir with over 40 persons courting arrest here. Shortly after Friday prayers, supporters of JKLF took out a procession from the party headquarters at Maisuma to Lal Chowk, where party Chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik and over 40 others presented themselves for the arrest. They boarded waiting police vans amidst slogans like "down with state terrorism" and "revoke Armed Forces Special Powers Act". Before courting arrest, Malik said their purpose was to draw the attention of the world community towards "unabated" human rights violations at the hands of security forces in Kashmir.
