Dehra Dun, Jun 18 (PTI) A junior engineer of police department was arrested by vigilance sleuths for allegedly taking a bribe from a contractor for issuance of No Objection Certificate for a government project, officials said today. Sudhakar Tripathi was arrested last night while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a contractor for issuing him a NOC for a Rs 14-lakh government project, they said. Tripathi, a native of Banda district in Uttar Pradesh, has been booked under Anti Corruption Act, the officials said. PTI DPT APV.
