A nine-year-old girl was allegedly sodomised by an 18-year-old boy in Hallomajra on Monday. The accused allegedly lured the victim to a secluded place and committed the crime, the police said. The victim's family knew him.The mother of the victim, a widow who works as a domestic help, had gone for work, leaving her nine-year-old daughter home. Accused Pardeep alias Kala went to the house around 3 pm, a police officer said.He lured her with chocolates and asked her to come with him. "On reaching a deserted place near Hallomajra, he sodomised her. When the victim's mother returned home around 5 pm, she found her daughter missing," the police office said. "An hour later, the accused left the victim near her house."Subsequently, the victim narrated the incident to her mother, who reported the matter to the police.Pardeep, who works as a sweeper, was arrested from his residence in Ambedkar Colony. He had reportedly threatened the girl of dire consequences if she informed anybody about the incident, the police said.The accused has been booked for abduction, unnatural offence and criminal intimidation under Sections 366-A, 377 and 506 of the IPC. A case has been registered in the Sector-31 police station.
