PLO President gets go ahead for indirect peace talks with Israel

Dubai, May 8 (ANI): Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) President Mahmud Abbas was on Saturday given the go ahead for holding indirect peace talks with Israel.Reports from Ramallah quoted Fatah Deputy Secretary General, Jibril Rajub, as saying: "The Palestinian leadership has approved the proximity talks."He was speaking after a meeting of the PLO Executive Committee.According to reports, the talks will be brokered by the United States.The Palestinians will hand over a letter of acceptance in this regard to US President Barack Obama's special Middle East envoy George Mitchell later today.
