Chennai, May 15 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said he was ready to face a defamation suit by his arch rival and AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa over a land grab case, adding, it would enable him present more details on the issue. "I am ready to face it. That will allow more details to be presented (before a court) on how the land was transferred, the misuse of government machinery and flouting of various rules," he said writing in party mouthpiece "Murasoli." On Friday, Jayalalithaa had accused Karunanidhi of indulging in "false propaganda" on the Siruthavur land grab issue and threatened to sue him for defamation. The Justice KP Sivasubramaniam Commission, which probed the matter, gave clean chit to Jayalalithaa but indicted relatives of her close aide Sasikala, including a former foster son of the AIADMK leader. He said the bungalow at Siruthavur, used by Jayalalithaa, was located on a 115-acre site that included the disputed property. Of this, 35 acres were unused government land. He said CPI (M), "who are supporting her in elections uninvited" gave a complaint to him in 2006 at the behest of the affected persons.
