Jaipur, May 15 (PTI) Acting on the directives of the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) today removed encroachments and took possession of a part of the Rambagh complex land here. The authority took possession of 19,400 sq. metre land, including part of the rear of Lilypool palace and portions of SMS play ground and stable and put up possession signboards, a JDA official said. "The authority will take possession of the rest of the land which is now with Hotel Laxmi Vilas and Kanak Palace after a legal assessment," JDA Secretary Gayatri Rathore said. "We have already served notices to all the concerned persons and to take the rest of the land''s possession, we are legally examining their objections," she said. The High Court had on May 10 directed the removal of encroachment from the Rambagh complex land which was acquired by the JDA in 1973. The JDA had then sent evacuation notice to the concerned authority.
