Ahmedabad, May 29 (PTI) Severe heat conditions claimed seven lives over night, taking the toll to 58 in the city. "One person Dev Singh (55) died due to heat at the V S Hospital today, while six more deaths have been reported since yesterday," an Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health official said. The state has been reeling under searing heat for the past 15 days with the maximum temperature reaching 46.8 degree Celsius here on May 21. The city today recorded a temperature of 43.1 degree Celsius, the second highest in the state after Bhavnagar district where the temperature was 44 degree Celsius, a MET official said.
