Two registrars terminated from services by UP govt

Lucknow, June 17 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh government has terminated services of registrars of Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut and Manohar Lohia Univrsity in Faizabad. "The decision to terminate services of two registrars were taken on the directives of Chief Minister Mayawati on charges with committing various irregularities," officials said here today. Registrar of Meerut University V K Sinha was charged with appointing his wife and brother-in-law as clerk during his tenure at Bundelkhand University in Jhansi, they said. Besides, he was also facing charges of committing irregularities in evaluation of answer sheets of CPMT examination conducted by the Bundelkhand University, they said. Registrar of Faizabad University K N Pandey was accused of running distance education courses without taking required sanctions during his appointment at Ruhelkhand University, they said.
