Maderana claimed the first set with a 6-0 margin before claiming the second set with a 6-1 margin to advance into the quarter-final stage. In another match in the same category, Nishat Eqbal ended the challenge of Param Pun with a 6-4, 6-3 win. In another match of the day, Uday Singh Mann scored a 6-1, 6-4 win over Rupesh Khokhar. Mann claimed the first set with a 6-1 margin before claiming the second set.
